Why is a raven like a writing desk?

20th August 2015

Following on from our earlier post about St. James’ Court and their wonderful ‘An English Classic, Reinvented’ campaign – which saw the launch of their revitalised version of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, designed by Oi’s very own senior creative Ethan McClean – Oi were briefed to create a series of collateral to promote the hotel’s latest afternoon tea offering, Tea Parties in Wonderland.

These ‘fantastical, elegant and fun’ affairs, held in the hotel’s exotic Kona restaurant, take their inspiration from the Hatter’s Mad Tea Party and feature other unmistakable Wonderland elements, with a table full of Drink Me potions, Queen of Hearts tarts and teacups full of tasty treats.

Oi’s design team created equally fantastical and fun flyers, menus and posters to promote the events. Taking original illustrations and images of the afternoon tea and mixing in St. James’ Court’s signature turquoise and gold, we were able to create something really wondrous to wow anyone who decides to take tea in Wonderland!

The launch of their new afternoon teas not only coincides with the production of their reinvented book cover but also with the 150th anniversary of the book itself, and what more excuse do you need to treat yourself to Queen’s recipe drop scones and bubblegum macaroons?
